Supported Employment

Taught by a certified job coach, EYA aims to support clients in exploring careers that focus on their interests and skill sets. 

In this phase, job coaches will help with the following:

• Career readiness assessments
• Soft skills 
• Resume development
• Interview practice
• Completion of job applications
• Networking with local businesses 
• Discussing accommodations and modifications 
• Job expectations

EYA's goal is to support clients so they can reach their maximum level of independence at their place of employment. 

In this phase, job coaches will help with the following:

• Teach new rules, policies and assigned tasks
• Implement accommodations, modifications and natural supports 
• Model skills
• Assist with social, interpersonal and problem-solving skills 
• Communicate with parents/guardians after each shift 
• Educate co-workers, businesses and customers about the role of a job coach
